Metinvest Holding cited for 19% reduction in industrial injuries

PARIS, Oct. 14 – The international vertically integrated mining and metal group of companies – Metinvest – starting from the second half of 2009 has cut industrial injuries in the metal sector by 19% and received an award for the Best Occupational Safety Improvement Project from the World Steel Association (WSA, Worldsteel).


Consumer confidence drops sharply in September amid global fears

KIEV, Oct. 15 – Consumer confidence in Ukraine significantly worsened in early autumn, according to a monthly survey by GfK Ukraine.

The index of consumer confidence in September fell by 6.7 points, to 74.7 points.


Firtash-affiliated company boosts stake in Italian titanium producer
