KIEV, Oct. 15 – European Union proposals regarding access of Ukrainian companies to the European energy and transport markets presented during the 13th round of talks on the creation of a free trade zone between Ukraine and the European Union have alarmed Ukraine, said Deputy Economy Minister Valeriy Piatnytsky.
"We've finally got the proposals of the European Union. But it is early to say that they were revolutionary. We need time to study them. First we're trying to find some drawbacks. Among obvious drawbacks that concerned us were the conditions for access to the energy and transport markets," Piatnytsky said in an interview with the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia (Mirror Weekly) newspaper.
