Ukraine extends for 3 years sanctions on Russian social networks

KYIV, May 15 – Ukraine has extended sanctions against the Russian social-networking websites Odnoklassniki and Vk and Mail.ru web services for three years and against Yandex and its services, Kaspersky Lab and Dr. Web for 12 months.

Ukraine GDP grew 2.4% in first quarter, according to government

KIEV, May 15 - Ukraine's gross domestic product in the first quarter of 2017 grew by 2.4% compared to the same period in 2016 against 4.8% in the fourth quarter of 2016, according to the State Statistics Service.


Power plants consumed 550,500 tons of coal imports through April 30

KIEV, May 17 - A total of 550,500 tons of imported steam coal was shipped to thermal power plants (TPPs) and combined heat and power plants (CHPPs) of Ukraine in January-April 2017, including 137,200 tons in April alone and only from Russia, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry reported.
