Yanukovych signs national space engineering program into law

KIEV, Sept. 30 – President Viktor Yanukovych has signed a law on the approval of a national targeted scientific and engineering space program for 2013-2017, which was passed by the parliament on September 5, according to the president's Web site.


Bill in Parliament would set 12 year minimum farmland leasing term

KIEV, Sept. 30 – The minimum term of farmland leasing should be 12 years.

The requirement is stipulated in draft law No. 3316 on amendments to some Ukraine laws regarding the stable use of farmland, the authors of which are MPs Oleh Kulinich (the Party of Regions faction), Stepan Ivakhiv (not a member of any faction) and Valeriy Lunchenko (the Batkivschyna faction).


LINIK, sitting idle, starts to overhaul technological facilities

KIEV, Sept. 30 – LINIK (Lysychansk oil refinery, Luhansk region), which belongs to Russia's Rosneft, has started overhauls of its technological facilities, Luhansk Regional Administration reported after a meeting of Governor Volodymyr Prystiuk with the company's Director General Ihor Danchuk.


Ukraine may create venture capital fund to support IT, says official
