KIEV, Jan. 22 – The administration of Arcelor Mittal Kryviy Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region) says it is continuing to settle the issues of increasing workers' wages and is realizing a policy to improve health and safety standards.
Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko during a visit to the mill on Thursday told the mill's leadership that a wage hike must be made this month, arguing it is necessary to take into account the rise in the cost of living in the matter of wage increases.
The company said it recently started talks on changing a collective agreement regarding wage increases with the trade unions.
