KIEV, Oct. 20 – President Viktor Yushchenko, followingfierce opposition from Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, on Monday was forced to reschedule the early election on Dec. 14, a week later than had been originally scheduled.

Tymoshenko has been trying to stop the election by appealing Yushchenko’s decree in courts and by refusing to disburse the money for the vote, making the election on Dec. 7 impossible.
