KIEV, Oct. 16 - The Ukrainian economy and banking systems still stable and do not reflect any substantial effects of the international financial crisis, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said while opening a government session on Thursday.
"The banking system is working absolutely reliably and successfully. The country is functioning and working absolutely normally," she said.
Tymoshenko added that GDP growth for January-September came to 6.9% coinciding with a state budget surplus.
