KIEV, Oct. 16 – The risks faced by Ukrainian banks are heightened by their liquidity misbalance, currency misbalance, gaps in financing and a surplus of branches, according to experts of Kiev-based Deloitte&Touche USC, part of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Group.
"The achievements of the banking sector were accompanied by inefficiency and risks, which cast doubt its further development... Analysis of the banking sector reveals the presence of certain structural misbalances, which impede the development and intensify risks linked with the realization of strategies based on market share," reads a company survey sent to Interfax-Ukraine.
