KIEV, Aug. 29 – The Economy Ministry hopes that tensions in political relations with Russia due to the conflict in Georgia will not trigger a trade war between the countries, Economy Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn said.
"I think [a trade war] won't start. First and foremost, economic entities want normal and constructive trade-economic relations," he told journalists on Friday.
In this connection, Danylyshyn said that the states are maintaining a constructive dialogue on the economy and the situation is developing on the basis of agreements reached earlier by Ukrainian and Russian premiers and presidents.
