KIEV, Nov. 27 – Dairy production in Ukraine will fall by 6% this year, to 1.655 million tons, of the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine Chairman Vadym Chaharovsky said.
The expert said that production from whole milk would decline by 5%, to 1.061 million tons, butter – by 11%, to 101,700 tons, blended and mixed butter – by 19%, to 68,900 tons, powder milk – by 5%, to 62,300 tons, rennet cheese – by 2%, to 179,100 tons, canned dairy products – by 15%, to 93,500 tons, processed cheese – by 2%, to 49,300 tons and whey powder and casein – by 2%, to 38,900 tons.
The expert also predicts a shortage of raw milk in 2016.
