KIEV, Nov. 10 – President Petro Poroshenko has called on Turkey to step up cooperation to safeguard Crimean Tatars' rights.
"Petro Poroshenko called for the intensification of cooperation for the protection of the Crimean Tatars' rights. He reminded that leaders of the Crimean Tatars Mustafa Jemilev (Cemilev) and Refat Chubarov are still not allowed to enter Crimea. The president expressed hope that Turkey would support the international position on the reaction to Russia's violation of its international obligations in the sphere of human rights," Poroshenko said when meeting with Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu Kiev on Monday.
