KIEV, Nov. 14 – The leaders of the Ukrainian parliamentary opposition parties, Vitali Klitschko (UDAR), Arseniy Yatseniuk (Batkivschyna), and Oleh Tiahnybok (Svoboda), have called on the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union not to make a final decision on the signature of an association agreement between Ukraine and the EU at its session on November 18.
In particular, Klitschko, Yatseniuk, and Tiahnybok urged the Council in a statement to leave Ukraine a chance to comply with the criteria essential for signing the association agreement in the period before the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius. These criteria include, in particular, Ukraine's commitment to stop selective justice practices and work out a solution to the problem of former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko acceptable to all parties concerned.
