KIEV, Oct. 2 - A vote in the Lviv regional council to approve Chevron's major shale gas extraction project in Ukraine is scheduled on October 3, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytskiy said Wednesday.

The vote is the final step before the government can go ahead and sign a production sharing agreement (PSA) with Chevron to develop Olesska shale gas deposit.
