KIEV, Nov. 6 - President Viktor Yanukovych said Thursday that he will probably nominate the next prime minister before Sunday to give newly elected lawmakers time to prepare for the vote to approve the candidate.

“By the upcoming Sunday I will probably make my mind over the prime minister nomination,” Yanukovych said.

Yanukovych is due to travel to India on December 9 through December 12, suggesting the lawmakers have to know the candidate before then.
