KIEV, Sept. 10 — President Viktor Yanukovych on Friday signed into law legislation increasing the retirement age in Ukraine, a key demand of the International Monetary Fund.
The legislation was approved by lawmakers on July 8 by 248 votes in the 450-seat Parliament, gradually increasing the retirement age for women to 60 years from 55 years. The retirement age for male civil servants will increase from 60 to 62 years.
