KIEV, Dec. 1 - Ukraine’s largest steel and mining group Metinvest, the Egyptian ministry of defense and Abu Zabel, a defense company, signed a contract for the supply of 27,000 metric tons of slabs, the industrial policy ministry reported.

According to the contract, Metinvest will supply to Egypt the commodity, produced by its flagship steelmaker Azovstal.

The deal was signed following a meeting of the industrial policy minister Dmytro Kolesnikov and the Egyptian minister of military production Sayed Meshal on November 25 in Cairo, the ministry reported.
