KIEV, Oct. 20 - ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih, the largest steelmaker in Ukraine (Dnipropetrovsk region), has rejected claims by the State Customs Service that it attempted to smuggle coking coal by understating of its value, and accused state bodies of being biased against his company.
The mill's press service said that ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih submitted documents on the market value of coking coal to the State Customs Service. The market value that existed at the moment of the signing of a contract and that effective now, was indicated. The company also submitted proofs that the indicative price of $380 per ton set by the State Customs Service was unjustified.
