Upcoming talks with Romania to deal with Danube border dispute

KIEV, April 14 – Ukraine has no plans to change the line of its border with Romania along the River Danube, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Voloshyn, told Interfax-Ukraine that in the situation which occurred over Maikan Island on the Danube the Ukrainian side proceeds from the principle of the non-violation of the agreement between Ukraine and Romania of 2003, which stipulates the inviolability of the state border.
