Prosecutor: Evidence doesn't show UAH8 billion govt embezzlement

KIEV, May 15 – Investigators have found no evidence that confirms the statements of the former head of the State Financial Inspectorate of Ukraine Mykola Hordiyenko alleging that UAH 8 billion had been embezzled by members of Arseniy Yatseniuk's government, First Deputy Prosecutor General Volodymyr Huzyr said.

Parliament OKs adoption of floating excise duties for oil products

KIEV, May 15 – Ukraine's parliament adopted a bill on Tuesday to introduce floating rates of excise duty on oil products.

Bill No. 10379, which will amend the Tax Code, garnered 247 votes from the 321 MPs registered in the session hall.
