KIEV, May 16 – The National Bank of Ukraine expects that the foreign currency inflow to Ukraine during the hosting of final matches of the Euro 2012 European football championship in June and before the parliamentary election in September will grow, which will support the hryvnia exchange rate.
"Before Euro 2012, a certain inflow of foreign currency will be seen. We have our own evaluations of the volumes. They are rather moderate, although they will allow the situation to be maintained, preventing large fluctuations," the director of the chief department of the monetary and credit policy at the NBU, Olena Scherbakova, said in a posting on the Web site of the central bank.
