Saudi Arabia to host Ukraine peace summit
KYIV, July 30 - Saudi Arabia will host a Ukrainian-organized peace summit in early August seeking to find a way to start negotiations over Russia’s war on the country, The Associated Press reported Sunday citing officials.

Russia targeting, destroying Ukrainian culture sites, ministry says
KYIV, July 28 – As of July 25, 2023, as a result of Russian aggression, 1,605 cultural infrastructure facilities have been damaged, excluding cultural heritage sites. Of these, more than a third (589 objects) was destroyed, according to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.

Ukraine’s economy to contract 37.5% on year in Q3, Q4, NBU forecasts
KYIV, July 29 – The decline in real gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine in the third and fourth quarters of 2022 compared to the same period last year will slow down to 37.5% from 39.3% in the second quarter, the National Bank of Ukraine published such a forecast in the inflationary review on its website.

NBU warns about unfair hard currency to hryvnia exchange rates on streets
KYIV, July 29 – Nonbank currency exchangers, which account for three-quarters of the official cash market, have begun to artificially increase the exchange rate in the cash segment of the foreign exchange market, effectively supporting the existence of "ATM tourism," the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said on Friday and imposed restrictions on their work.

Ukraine’s forex reserves may drop to $9.8-bln in 2023 if war drags on
KYIV, July 29 – In the event the war drags on into 2023, the Ukrainian economy will grow by 2% with inflation of 19.4%, however, due to continued blocking of ports and net capital outflow, international reserves will decrease to $9.8 billion, or 1.5 months of imports, such an alternative scenario of the macroeconomic forecast in the inflation report was published on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

Russian strike kills Ukrainian grain mogul
KYIV, July 31 - A Ukrainian grain mogul and his wife were killed after the southern city of Mykolaiv came under intense shelling on Sunday, a week after Russia has agreed to unblock grain exports from Ukraine.
