Russian diplomat knocks Kiev’s stance on Georgia arms supply
MOSCOW, Aug. 4 - Kiev's stance on arms supply to Georgia is unfriendly towards Russia, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin.
"We believe that the Ukrainian leadership has taken a stand in the issue of military hardware supplies to Georgia that is unfriendly towards us," he said in an interview with Interfax on Tuesday. |
Government to use depositor bailout money to help flood victims
KIEV, Aug. 4 – The government is planning to allocate the funds originally allocated by Ukraine's 2008 national budget for refunding defaulted Soviet-era deposits as compensation to the regions hit by the recent severe floods in western Ukraine, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko told reporters in Chernivtsi region on Monday. |
