KIEV, Aug. 5 – The National Bank of Ukraine will not make enough money this year to allocate 9.8 billion hryvnias to finance infrastructure projects as Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has requested, a former NBU governor said Wednesday.
Serhiy Tyhypko, who led the NBU in 2004 and advised Tymoshenko on foreign investments earlier this year, said the NBU will probably report losses due to massive refinancing of troubled commercial banks.
