KIEV, Aug. 4 – The government is planning to allocate the funds originally allocated by Ukraine's 2008 national budget for refunding defaulted Soviet-era deposits as compensation to the regions hit by the recent severe floods in western Ukraine, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko told reporters in Chernivtsi region on Monday.

According to the premier, the decision is to be taken before Parliament's final approval of the amendments to the 2008 national budget.
