Yanukovcyh unveils new state home loan program to start in May

KIEV, March 7 – People in Ukraine will be able to raise loans under the state program for the purchase of housing at an interest rate of 2-3% per annum in the hryvnia for a period of 10-15 years, starting in May, President Viktor Yanukovych said.


President orders cabinet to raise pensions for nine million

KIEV, March 7 – President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to conduct a gradual recalculation of pensions, and raise the pensions of nine million retirees who retired before 2008 by at least UAH 100 per month, starting from May 1, 2012.


Azarov says he’s confident of meeting goals set by president

KIEV, March 7 – President Viktor Yanukovych has outlined four key strategic areas of social reform, describing them as new social initiatives.

"We must restore public confidence in state policies aimed at improving the lives of citizens.
