KIEV, March 11 – Most government appointments were made based on personal loyalty to President Viktor Yanukovych and that is increasing his political clout, a political analyst said Thursday.
Mykola Azarov, a Yanukovych ally, was appointed the prime minister Thursday by 235-strong coalition that had been created in the 450-seat Parliament, followed by all other appointments.
