Centrenergo to borrow UAH900 million to rebuild thermal power plant

KIEV, July 15 – Centrenergo (Kiev), an electricity generating company, has announced a tender to attract a non-renewable credit line with a limit of UAH 900 million, reads a report of the company in the Visnyk Derzhavnykh Zakupivel state procurement bulletin.


Fitch lowers ratings outlook to negative for six Ukrainian banks

KIEV, July 15 - Fitch Ratings has affirmed the Long-term foreign currency Issuer Default Ratings (IDRs) of Ukraine-based UkrSibbank, Ukrsotsbank (Ukrsots), VTB Bank (Ukraine) (VTBU), ProCredit Bank (Ukraine), Pravex-Bank (Pravex) and Credit Agricole Bank's (CAB) at 'B', and revised their outlooks to negative from stable.


United Basketball Investments to build EuroBasket 2015 arena in Kiev

KIEV, July 16 - United Basketball Investments (UBI), a company co-owned by Ukrainian businessman Ihor Kolomoisky, is planning to build an arena for the EuroBasket 2015 European Basketball Championship on the grounds of the Kyivhuma plant in Kiev at 6 Holosiyivsky Avenue, according to Kommersant Ukraine newspaper.


Ukraine to borrow $1 billion on foreign market in third quarter

Former Kiev mayor announces high-tech investment fund creation

KIEV, July 13 – Ex-Kiev Mayor Leonid Chernovetsky has announced the creation of the Chernovetsky International Investment Fund.

As the mayor's press service reported, the fund will be officially registered within one or two months. It will start working on the territory of Ukraine and soon – and then in former Soviet republics and several developing Asian counties.


Government protocol with China Development Bank to promote coal

KIEV, July 14 - Ukraine's united energy system reduced electricity output by 15.7% (15.686 billion kilowatt hours) to 83.977 billion kilowatt hours in H1, the Fuel and Energy Ministry announced.


Pavlohrad chemical plant suspends reprocessing of SS-24 fuel

KIEV, July 15 – The launch of industrial reprocessing of solid rocket fuel from RS-22 ballistic missiles (SS-24 according to NATO classification) at the Pavlohrad chemical plant in Dnipropetrovsk region has been postponed due to a lack of funds, plant Director General Leonid Shyman told Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday.
