Phantom multipurpose vehicle among top 5 inventions at IDEX 2017

KIEV, Feb. 23 – One of the top vehicles of the state-run enterprise Spetstechnoexport (part of the state-run Ukroboronprom concern) is the Phantom unmanned tactical multipurpose vehicle. Phantom was among the top five inventions at IDEX 2017 – the International Defence Exhibition in the United Arab Emirates and its success shows the high level of interest in Ukrainian military equipment, according to President Petro Poroshenko.


Goldman Sachs warns of capital outflow, currency depreciation

KIEV, Feb. 22 - The continued lack of confidence in the political regime in Ukraine could trigger a new wave of capital outflow from the country and the weakening of the national currency exchange rate by the middle of this year, to UAH 30/$1, analysts of Goldman Sachs investment bank consider.


EnergoAtom completes delivery of Westinghouse fuel to Zaporizhia

Antonov to cooperate with Saudi Arabia's Taqnia on An-32 project

KIEV, Feb. 22 – State Enterprise Antonov and Saudi Arabia's Taqnia have signed an agreement of cooperation in organization of production of new An-32 multipurpose aircraft with a carrying capacity of 9.2 tons in Saudi Arabia, Antonov reported on Monday.


Odessa Port-Side Plant synthetic gas project pegged at $1.5 billion

KIEV, Feb. 23 – The cost of a project to construct synthesis gas facilities and to switch public joint-stock company Odessa Port-Side Plant to consuming this gas has been assessed at $1.5 billion, acting Director General of subsidiary of national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrayiny - Vuhlesyntezgaz Ukrayiny - Andriy Suprun has said.


Ukraine trying to use Chinese bank credits to finance pipelines

KIEV, Feb. 23 – Ukraine is holding talks on using credit funds from the China Development Bank to finance the construction of interconnection gas pipelines with Poland, said Serniy Alekseyenko, chief adviser to Board Chairman of Naftogaz Ukrayiny.


Government may sign deal with Privat group on oil complex creation

KIEV, Feb. 23 – The state could sign a mutually beneficial deal with the Privat group on the creation of a large vertically integrated oil complex on the basis of the largest oil extracting company Ukrnafta and oil refining company Ukrtatnafta (Kremenchuk Oil Refinery), Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said.

Ukraine accuses Gazprom of failing to deliver natural gas it paid for

KIEV, Feb. 23 – Ukraine on Monday accused Russia's Gazprom on Monday of failing to supply natural gas that was paid for in advance.

Naftogaz Ukrayiny, the national energy company, asked Gazprom to explain why it had delivered only 47 million cubic meters of gas on February 22, which is short of 114 million cu m that had been ordered.
