Ukraine’s sunflower seed output seen down 42.6% on year in 2022-2023
KYIV, Aug 4 – Production of sunflower seeds in the 2022/2023 marketing year (MY, September-August) is projected at 9.4 million tons, which is 42.6% less than the previous MY (16.4 million tons), while their exports will decrease by approximately 41.2%, to 1 million tons from 1.7 million tons.

Ukrainian ministry seeks more information on steel output, supplies
KYIV, Aug 4 – The Ministry for Strategic Industries has requested interested departments, associations and unions to provide data on the balance of steel production in the country and the provision of metallurgical enterprises with ferrous scrap to prepare possible proposals for the liberalization of the scrap metal export, as well as the disposal of destroyed military equipment of the occupiers.

Court rules Firtash must return metal plant
KYIV, Aug 5 - A Ukraine court ruled that a titanium and magnesium plant 49% owned by Ukrainian tycoon Dmytro Firtash should return to full state ownership, Reuters reported citing anti-corruption prosecutors (SAP).
