KYIV, Aug 4 – The Ministry for Strategic Industries has requested interested departments, associations and unions to provide data on the balance of steel production in the country and the provision of metallurgical enterprises with ferrous scrap to prepare possible proposals for the liberalization of the scrap metal export, as well as the disposal of destroyed military equipment of the occupiers.

According to the letter of the Ministry for Strategic Industries dated July 24, 2022, which is at the disposal of Interfax-Ukraine, in response to appeals from the Ukrainian Association of Secondary Metals (UAVtormet) and the Ukrainian Association of Secondary Metals and Resources (UAVtormetresurs) about problematic issues in the scrap industry, the ministry will analyze the situation.
