S&P assigns ‘B-‘ rating to UAH2 billion City of Kiev unsecured bond
KIEV, Nov. 6 – Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has assigned a 'B-' debt rating with a recovery rating of '4' to the City of Kiev's proposed amortizing senior unsecured bond worth UAH 2 billion (about $250 million).
At the same time, S&P placed the rating on CreditWatch with negative implications. |
Ukraine to complete heating project using AAUs sold to Japan
KIEV, Nov. 6 – Ukraine by December will finish the major part of works on the renovation of heating systems of social infrastructure facilities (544 projects) being realized using funds received from the sale of assigned amount units (AAUs) to Japan, said Vladyslav Yakubovsky, the head of Ukraine’s State Environmental Investment Agency of Ukraine. |
Ukrzaliznytsia misses revenue target due to reduced shipments
KIEV, Nov. 7 – The State Railway Administration (Ukrzaliznytsia) said that its revenue target for January-October was not fulfilled due to a reduction in cargo shipments and the absence of cargo tariff indexation.
Ukrzaliznytsia said that with expected revenues from usual operations of UAH 46.5 billion in the 10 months ending October 31, the shortfall will be UAH 1.7 billion. |

KIEV, Nov. 7 – Siemens Ukraine Company, a subsidiary of Siemens Concern, plans in the first quarter of 2013 to select a Ukrainian partner for the joint realization of a project on the production of trams in Ukraine, Siemens Ukraine CEO Cornelius Granig told journalists. |
13 companies sign memo of cooperation with foreign ministry
KIEV, Nov. 7 – Thirteen leading Ukrainian financial and industrial companies, including Smart-holding, System Capital Management (SCM, Donetsk), EastOne Group, Ferrexpo, PrivatBank and others, have signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Foreign Ministry pledging to lobby for their interests abroad. |
Naftogaz extracted 106,000 barrels of Egypt crude in Q3, govt reports
KIEV, Nov. 7 - Naftogaz Ukrayiny extracted 106,000 barrels of crude oil in Egypt in July-September, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry reported.
"Since April 18 [2010], Naftogaz Ukrayiny has been extracting oil at the Alam El Shawish East concession [in western Egypt]. As of September 30, 2011, the company had extracted over 560,000 barrels of crude oil," reads the report. |
DPM calls for program to increase hydrocarbon extraction, refining
KIEV, Nov. 7 – First Deputy Prime Minister and Economic Development and Trade Minister Andriy Kliuyev has ordered the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry urgently to hold a meeting and draw up a program to increase hydrocarbon extraction and oil refining.
"[The ministry is ordered] to hold a meeting on oil refining and hydrocarbon extraction. [The ministry] is to present a program to me on how we'll bring these sectors out of crisis," he said at a meeting at the Economic Development and Trade Ministry in Kiev. |
