Russians will hike natgas price 37% next month, says energy minister

KIEV, March 10 - Ukraine expects Russia to increase its natural gas prices by at least 37% starting next month, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan said on Sunday.

The price is expected to increase to $368.5 per 1,000 cubic meters in the second quarter, up from $268.5/1,000 cu m in the first quarter, Prodan said, citing the government’s calculations.

Ukraine mining companies report raised iron ore pellet production

KIEV, March 7 - Most Ukrainian mining companies raised iron ore pellet production in January-February.

Poltava Mining, the core asset of the London-listed Ferrexpo plc, raised commercial pellet production 7.5% year-on-year to 1.611 million tons and concentrate production 7.6% to 2.004 million tons.
