Russians will hike natgas price 37% next month, says energy minister
KIEV, March 10 - Ukraine expects Russia to increase its natural gas prices by at least 37% starting next month, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan said on Sunday.
The price is expected to increase to $368.5 per 1,000 cubic meters in the second quarter, up from $268.5/1,000 cu m in the first quarter, Prodan said, citing the government’s calculations. |
EIB and EBRD approve EUR254.5 to finance Kiev area road construction
KIEV, March 6 - The European Investment Bank as of today has funded the reconstruction of roads approaching the city of Kiev to the tune of EUR 124.5 million, while the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development allocated about EUR 130 million, according to the adviser of the head of the State Agency of Automobile Roads (Ukravtodor), Yevhen Prusenko. |
Ukraine mining companies report raised iron ore pellet production
KIEV, March 7 - Most Ukrainian mining companies raised iron ore pellet production in January-February.
Poltava Mining, the core asset of the London-listed Ferrexpo plc, raised commercial pellet production 7.5% year-on-year to 1.611 million tons and concentrate production 7.6% to 2.004 million tons. |
Akhmetov to buy 25% stake in private Ukrainian natural gas producer
KIEV, March 7 - Ukrainian billionaire Rinat Akhmetov, who controls assets in the steel, coal mining and power sectors, agreed to buy a 25% stake in private Ukrainian natural gas producer Naftogazdobuvannia, Akhmetov’s System Capital Management group announced Thursday. |
