Annualized inflation reported up to 14.2 percent in February

KIEV, March 10 - Inflation in Ukraine in February stood at 1% compared to 1.1% in January and 0.9% in December last year, the State Statistics Service reported.


UkrTatNafta receives shipment of Azeri crude via Kremenchuk pipeline

KIEV, March 10 – UkrTatNafta, Ukraine’s largest oil refinery, on Friday received the first shipment of crude oil from Azerbaijan delivered via the Odessa-Kremenchuk oil pipeline, a refinery official said.
UkrTatNafta has been previously receiving some Azeri crude via railroad deliveries, but the pipeline shipments open door for increased supplies and faster deliveries.

Another shipment of mélange leaving Kharkiv region for Russia

KHARKIV, March 12 – The shipment of another batch of melange, a highly toxic liquid rocket fuel component, which is stored at a military base A-2136 in Shevchenkivsky district in Kharkiv region, and its transportation for disposal to Russia have begun, according to the regional media center of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine in Kharkiv.


Aerosvit says it may fire more personnel than announced so far

KIEV, March 13 – AeroSvit Airline said that it is pointless to attract investment to resume regular long-haul flights due to court rulings against it, and the airline does not rule out that a bigger reduction of personnel than foreseen in the restructuring program could occur.


Canada's EastCoal dismissing 400 miners due to poor market conditions

KIEV, March 13 - Canada's EastCoal Inc. is dismissing 150 miners at Verticalnaya mine (Sverdlovsk, Luhansk region) and 250 miners at Menzhinsky mine (Pervomaisk, Luhansk region) due to the unfavorable situation on the coking and steam coal markets, the company reported.

Ukraine denies reports of problems in building $1b LNG terminal

KIEV, March 13 - Ukraine on Wednesday denied media reports that it faces problems with building a $1 billion liquefied natural gas terminal, and said the project will be accelerated.
