KIEV, March 13 – The Economic Development and Trade Ministry has registered an appeal from four Ukrainian oil refineries to open an investigation into the subsidizing of imports of fuel from Belarus, a source in the government told Interfax-Ukraine.
"Three more refineries signed a claim of Ukrtatnafta. Thus, over 50% of Ukrainian producers supported the company as is required in Ukrainian law. The claim was registered in accordance with the established procedure," the source said.
He said that along with the Kremenchuk oil refinery (Ukrtatnafta), the document was signed by Nadvirna and Drohobych oil refineries (the Privat Group controls their managers), as well as Shebelynka gas plant (part of state-run enterprise Ukrgazvydobuvannia). Lysychansk oil refinery (belongs to TNK-BP) and Odessa oil refinery (belongs to Lukoil) have not supported the claim.
