KIEV, Feb. 14 – Dnipropetrovsk region steelmaker ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih posted UAH 1.2 billion in net profit in 2010, whereas the company was in the red in 2009 with net losses estimated at UAH 120 million.


American Chamber of Commerce calls for end to duty free fuel imports

KIEV, Feb. 14 – The American Chamber of Commerce has called on Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Boyko to stop duty-free fuel imports to Ukraine.

The issue was discussed during a roundtable entitled "Ukraine's Path to Growth and Energy Prosperity: Engaging American Business", which took place in Washington, DC on February 14, 2010, according to a statement by the ACC press service.


Sales of new passenger autos reported up 50% y-o-y in January

KIEV, Feb. 15 – Sales of new passenger cars in January 2011 came to 11,200 cars, which was 50% up on January 2010.

"The January results exceeded all expectations. January continued the trend of the last few months of 2010 and tuned the market to an optimistic mood," reads a posting on the Web site of the Auto-Consulting information and analytical group.

Interpipe Pipe and Wheel supplies 1,000 tons of pipe to Dubai

KIEV, Feb. 15 – Heat supply companies owe UAH 3.5 billion to Gaz Ukrayiny for gas consumed in present heating season (starting on October 1, 2009), with a 46% level of payments, the company reported on Monday.
