DNEPROPETROVSK, Feb. 16 - Metallurgical enterprises in Ukraine have since this year began been having problems with being supplied with scrap due to weather conditions, Metallurgprom General Director Vasyl Kharakhulakh said.
A drop in scrap metal delivery slightly impacted on the overall level of steel smelting in Ukraine due to a persisting low level of metal production output associated with unfavorable market conditions.
Metallurgprom told Interfax that the decrease in scrap metal receipt was offset by an increase in pig iron production.
