Mariupol shelling caused UAH100 million damage, Donetsk governor says Journal Staff Report
Saturday's shelling of Mariupol, Donetsk region, by militants resulted in estimated damage worth over UAH 100 million, Donetsk Regional State Administration Chairman Oleksandr Kikhtenko said.Around 12,000 people came under fire, with the buildings of most of them being damaged. The city authorities have provided temporary accommodation to those whose homes are now unlivable, Kikhtenko said. Kikhtenko added that the city was shelled from the direction of Novoazovsk-Taganrog. "Distinctive traces and damages are evidence of that," he said.
