Ukraine govt and Koreas KoGas sign MOU on LNG terminal construction

KIEV, Aug. 30 - Korea Gas Corporation seeks to participate in a project to build $1 billion liquefied natural gas terminal in Ukraine, Vladyslav Kaskiv, the head of a state agency supervising the project, said.

July payments balance shows $108m surplus, vs. June $376m deficit

KIEV, Aug. 29 The surplus of Ukraine's consolidated balance of payments in July 2011 amounted to $108 million, compared to a deficit of $376 million in June, according to Valeriy Lytvytsky, the head of the group of advisors to the governor of the National Bank of Ukraine.

KIEV, Aug. 28 The deficit of Ukraines national budget in January-July 2009 came to UAH 15.352 billion, growing by 44.8% or UAH 4.748 billion.

A posting on the Web site of Ukraines Finance Ministry says that the deficit of the budgets general fund in January-July 2009 reached UAH 17.877 billion, which is UAH 3.805 billion up from H1.

Polish pipeline operator wants states to decide about Odessa-Brody

WARSAW, Aug. 30 - Polish pipeline system operator PERN hopes the states interested in construction of the Odessa-Brody-Gdansk (O-B-G) oil pipeline will make their final decision to join the operator of the project in September, Marcin Jastrzebski, PERN's vice president for strategic issues, said in an interview with Interfax.
