KIEV, Feb. 14 – President-elect Viktor Yanukovych on Sunday again called on his defeated rival, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, to step down and let a new coalition form the new government.

Tymoshenko’s resignation could split her lawmakers in Parliament with a number of them joining forces with the Regions Party-led coalition in helping to approve key anti-crisis legislation.
