KYIV, April 30 – In the near future, online casino advertising will be limited or prohibited, since the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is obliged to develop a procedure for limiting gambling advertising after the corresponding decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) is put into effect, the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) explains.

"On April 20, 2024, by decree of the President of Ukraine, the decision of the National Security and Defense Council was put into effect regarding countering the negative consequences of the functioning of gambling on the Internet. In one of the paragraphs of this decision, the National Security and Defense Council set the Cabinet of Ministers the task of developing a procedure for limiting all forms of advertising of gambling, in particular on resources of electronic communication," Oleksandr Yehorov, head of the organizational and methodological department of the department for supervision over compliance with laws by the bodies of the Bureau of Economic Security of the Prosecutor General's Office, said on Tuesday on the air of the National Telethon, answering a question about the legality of advertising online casinos in particular on Telegram channels.
