KIEV, Sept. 15 – Ukraine’s budget deficit in 2009 is suggested at an economically sound level of 1.37% of the gross domestic product, according to a draft budget submitted by Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko’s government Monday.

The government met the deadline of Sept. 15 to submit the draft to Parliament. The draft must be approved before the end of December to prevent any delays in spending in 2009, according to the law.
