KIEV, May 16 - Naftogaz Ukrayiny plans to pump at least 14 billion cubic meters of natural gas into underground reservoirs by the start of the 2008-2009 heating season, and bring active reserves up to 26.7 billion cubic meters, Volodymyr Trykolych, the national oil and gas company's deputy CEO, said Thursday.
By the time gas begins to be withdrawn, underground reservoirs will hold about 15 bcm of gas that belongs to Naftogaz and 10 billion cubic meters that belongs to Swiss-based trader RosUkrEnergo AG, Trykolych said at a meeting at the Fuel and Energy Ministry.
