KYIV, Nov 4 – The electricity supplier YASNO said Ukrainians experience disruption in cell phone communication during power outages due to the lack of autonomous power sources at many antennas.
"I see a lot of complaints and notice myself that when the power is turned off, mobile communication does not work well. I explain: by default, mobile operators do not switch off without electricity. The problem is that many antennas are connected to residential buildings, to networks of residential buildings. And when residential buildings or other objects are turned off, antennas are turned off, and communication is lost," Serhiy Kovalenko, CEO of the energy supplier YASNO, wrote on his Facebook.
