KYIV, Oct 20 - DTEK currently has 500 MW of solar and wind power plants at various stages of construction, Maxim Timchenko, the CEO of the company, said.

"Thus, we will gradually replace conventional coal energy with renewable one," he said during the Ukraine Gas Investment Congress in Kyiv.

According to Timchenko, DTEK is also investing in energy storage systems and exploring the possibilities of hydrogen energy.
