KYIV, April 19 – The Federal Aviation Administration of the United States Department of Transportation (FAA) issued NOTAM A0012/21, which advises air carriers to exercise special caution when flying over parts of the Moscow Flight Information Region (FIR) and Rostov-on-Don FIR in Russia and within 100 nautical miles of Ukrainian FIRs of Dnipro, Simferopol and Kyiv.
This decision was made in connection with the geopolitical tensions associated with a large-scale build-up of the armed forces of the Russian Federation along the borders of Ukraine and on the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea, the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine reported on Sunday.
