KYIV, Aug 15 - The devaluation of the Turkish national currency will not influence the cost of tours in the current season as contracts between Ukrainian tour operators and Turkish hoteliers are formed in U.S. dollars and euros, experts polled by Interfax-Ukraine believe.
"The devaluation of the Turkish lira will not influence the cost of tours to Turkey in any way, as the main contracts between Ukrainian tour operators and Turkish hotels or host parties are formed in dollars and euros. The season is just finishing, the signing of new contracts will be tentatively in November-December. Theoretically, if the lira continues falling, this could affect the signing of contracts for the next year," Director General of Tez Tour travel operator Oleksandr Novykovsky said.
