KIEV, July 12 – Ukraine’s state-owned railroad company Ukrzaliznytsia plans to create a leasing company jointly with Amsted Rail and The Greenbrier Companies of the Untied States, Ukrzaliznytsia Board Chairman Wojciech Balczun said.
"One of the key problematic issues for the market is not enough number of wagons. Jointly with our partners Amsted Rail and The Greenbrier Companies, which are actively cooperating with the EBRD [the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development], Eximbank and OPIEK, we know what to do. We plan to create a joint leasing company, which will lease 10,000 wagons to Ukrainian carriers," he wrote on his Facebook page.
