KIEV, April 24 - Luhansk Energy Association LLC on April 25, 2017 under a decision of Ukraine' Energy and Coal Industry and state-run enterprise Energomarket has halted supplies of electricity to the separatist-controlled areas of Luhansk region, Director General of Luhansk Energy Association Volodymyr Hrytsai said on Luhansk regional TV on Sunday.
"Yesterday morning [Saturday, April 22] we received documents from Energomarket. They are proved by a document of the Energy and Coal Industry signed by Minister Ihor Nasalyk that from April 25 power supplies to the government uncontrolled territory will be fully stopped. Our technical services are taking measures and from April 25 at midnight supplies will be fully stopped," he said.
