KIEV, Jan. 22 - Ukraine and China have agreed to strengthen trade contacts at the highest level, in particular, over the implementation of previously signed agreements on swap lines between the currencies of the two countries in the amount of CNY15 billion (about $2.44 billion), reads a report on the NBU’s Facebook page.
"The NBU will proceed to the practical implementation of the swap line worth $2.4 billion with China, which can be used for financing trade contracts. This will help stabilize the economic situation and reduce importers' demand for foreign currency," reads the report.
