KIEV, Dec. 2 – President Viktor Yanukovych says he is outraged at the events that occurred during the Euromaidan protest rally on Kiev's Independence Square in the early hours of November 30, and he condemns the actions that have caused a violent confrontation.

"I am deeply concerned with the events that took place at Maidan Nezalezhnosti this night," the president said in an official statement posted on his official Web site on Saturday. "I condemn the actions that led to forceful confrontation and suffering of people."
